I gather from looking around on the internet that the T&D rockers for a SBC-2 and the P7 head are the same. My ? is does the W9 head use a rocker that is also used on another make head. Jim

The arms themselves are really just 3 sets of dimensions.... body width, pivot length & adjuster offset.... the STAND they bolt to are what are head specific.

There may very well be some brand X head out there than uses same pivot length & rocker arm offset & body width as a W8 or W9 etc. I don't know what it would be, but would not surprise me if the same arm is used in some other application.

I've used different spec rockers on certain heads before than what T&D or Jesel originally supplied with that particular stand.... (usually different offset or body width)

Ryan does the W-7 use a shorter length hold down
bar than a W-5... I have a set of TDs that have a
shorter bar and I dont recall what they go on
thanks

I'm confused by the question, but if the stands are T&D they should be stamped on lower left corner as to what head they fit. W-5 W-7 W-8 W-9 or W-9RP Also W5 would obviously use (5) 3/8" holes equally spaced. Most W7's were Lazy W bolt pattern & used both 3/8 & 7/16 bolts in a zig zag pattern

Or are you talking about the rocker shafts?

W7/8/9 T&Ds are interchangeable shafts & rockers for most part. W5 off top of my head may use a slightly narrower shaft, but I'd have to doublecheck that @ shop.

The pivot length on the W5 rocker will be shorter than a W7/8/9 rocker. Although they make 2 different pivot lengths for W5 heads depending on valve length used.

I didnt know they were stamped... I'll look tomorrow
but it has the lazy W bolt pattern but the main
bar(not the short shafts) is shorter but about 1"
EDIT
I see what you mean on the stamping on them... they
are W-8s
