When I think of parts I think of bearings gaskets, synchronizers, etc. The stuff you get in a rebuild kit for a A-833 right now. A kit like that would be something that I would probably want to buy. Particularly after all the talk of how hard it appears to have been to get ball bearings.

So my question Jamie is: what kind of ballpark cost would a rebuild kit containing parts similar to what you get to rebuild a A-833 be? $200? $500? $800? $1000? Not talking about gears here. Just the simple stuff to do a simple rebuild just like we do on current A-833's. That figure might be a deciding factor for me in whether to invest $4300 in one of these new 5-speeds.

Well,
I just got out of the emergency meeting that I called to discuss the parts availability of the project. After careful consideration of the concerns brought before us, We have decided to offer service parts. I will not be releasing a component price list until it is finalized though. So I really can't elaborate on component costs as of yet. So for everyone worried about getting parts after Scott Smith kills me off Don't worry. They will be available. I am open to any further questions or concerns that are brought up.
Thanks,
Jamie

Oh no, look at what you have done guys!! You have worn down Jamie and broken his iron will. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Now he has no dignity.

Well,
Where do I start... I gotta be honest, I was not expecting to receive the firestorm that I did here. I think that you guys might be putting the cart before the horse here. The trans has not even been officially released and already people are freaking out about parts. I am partnered on this project. So rest assured, parts will still be available after Scott Smith has me killed off. There is a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty on the transmission.

Hah!! Awesome... I'd watch that Scott Smith guy...

You are going about this the right way. Brutal truth, up front. SOOO many people take the other route, with promises based only on good intentions... and it always gets them into more trouble than being honest. If you lose customers being honest, so be it. If you have a good solid product at a reasonable price... you'll always sell it.

I'd LOVE to have that stick in my car. If i had a real job... i would be on that list.

Jamie will not release the product until it's 100%

Testing is ongoing and continuous.

We already know what happens when you release a mopar transmission product before it's 100%. Use the search function....

Patience please. This is not wal mart.

Just asking. There haven't been any updates for almost half a year.

Jamie is busy right now making his product 100%

No product will be released until it is 100%

There are no 5th/reverse issues.

I realize it is difficult to fathom such an undertaking, but perhaps for once try....

Really????? This is the message I got from him.

Greg,
We are still struggling with the 5th reverse interlock. The Hemi OD may be a good option. We have always had good feedback on the unit. That is why we are continuing to make them. A complete Hemi OD is $3210.00 to your door.
Thanks,
Jamie

So Tom... since you're so in the know and such an advocate, then why would you be calling him a liar????
I think some people here just reply to be seen...
