Trailer Inspection Near Pataskla OH...8 bolt axles ??? #867392

I am looking at a 26' Haulmark trailer near Pataskla OH. It has a 10k GVW but has 8 bolt wheels.

I thought 8 bolt wheels were 6 & 7000# rating which would make the trailer 12-14k rating???

The trailer is kinda beat & sits rather high???

Anyone maybe able to go check it out for me???

The axles may be rated high but the frame may be rated
for 10K but you would be MUCH better off with the
big wheel and tire... the small tire trailer most
people over load them
EDIT
Also if your car is low you may need to put some
ramp extensions on... my trailer sits HIGH and
this is what I did

The trailer manufacturer can put whatever rating on the trailer they feel it's capable of. Just because the axles are rated 6K or more doesn't mean the trailer structure is capable of that.

Once a VIN and GVW have been assigned by the Mfg. that's the trailer rating. Could even be that a previous owner changed the axles.

Smallest axle with 8 lugs is 7k each.

I had axles that where stamped 6k that had 8 lugs.

70 duster full chassis super pro 416 CNC Indybrock heads 727 w/brake

best so far 1.212 60 6.219 in 1/8 at 110.88 9.768 at 137.81 1/4
