A local racer sent me this presentation of one of our old local racetracks. Its quite cool to see some of these, and you'll be surprised at some of the names.

i used to race at that track every saturday night. saw many big name guys there and some that would become big names later on. those were the good ole days.

Very cool pictures. I grew up in a small town a little north of there called Lowville. A friend on mine has a 1971 purple Hemi Challenger that he bought new in Croghan, NY and used to race there regularly around that time period. I am going to send him this link.

No it wasn't, actually. That name does not ring a bell. His name is Bill Houppert and he still has the car today. It's a four speed car. He also ran the car at Cicero.

But.. It is the Maple Capitol of the world though. That's a serious business up there.
