I have a customer who is really getting the run around from these guys. Any members here close to them? Guy wont return phone calls, and has done nothing but lie to him since recieving his down payments. Its always.... " done, just need to crate it up for you". Does it take 2 months to crate a couple parts? Any help would be appreciated. You may PM me if need be.

Thanks

Todd

Pretty much the same treatment I got. The after 9 months a part shows up. One pass later that hood is in pieces as the scoop did not want to stay on the hood they glued it to. Never again

Here is the result of the one pass after waiting 9 months. We fixed it rigth after this..Was a POS

Sorry to hear about this situation. I've had plenty of different parts made by W.S. Always done on time and very nice workmanship. Maybe Walt is getting too old to keep up with the work load and his son is not going to be keep up thier good name.

Could of been worse. You could of bought from http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/
Every part I bought from them was useless junk and I waited for months.

I got the same run around years back on a scoop that was of very, very poor quality. WS Racing will never see any of my business again.

Iam not personally involved other than what I posted, but from what he tells me, he is dealing with the son, not the father.

I went through the same thing on some bumper brackets for a '68 Dart.......Took WAY longer than they'd told me........I'd call back every couple weeks and they'd tell me it just needed to be boxed up and sent.....

Pretty sure Walt has passed on..

Parts used to be very nice but as soon as the son got involved and Walt got older quality went south.

Sorry for your problems.

From reading their web site they state that they are
a 2 man shop.... sounds like they are working out of
a garage or something.... I looked at what they offered
and seen they make a Omni hood(no price) but I think
I'll go with another company

Yes, they are working out of a garage (although pretty good sized) at their house/

But like was posted above I beleive that Walt has passed away.

It would be too bad if the son runs it into the ground as I had good dealings with them.

I was however able to drive there and pick the parts up though so I wouldn;t know about shipping.

Bad deal, ive always like the look of their cowl hoods better than most because of the way they overhang the cowl... Wish there was a left coast company like aar or glasstek.

Ordered a hood from them around the first of the year. Was told they had a 5 week lead time. After 6 weeks, I called once a week until I got my hood. It was over 16 weeks before I received it!

They gave me the runaround everytime i called saying how it was almost done, and then telling me they were just waiting to ship it. Apparently crating it up took about 5 weeks!

Would certainly not recommend them to anyone, but at least I got my hood. The quality however is marginal!

Guess I'm the lucky one I ordered Front Fenders for a Demon about 8 years ago and they sent them right out. The quality was good.

Todd, I'm only about an hour and a half away from there.
If you need a face to show up or pick up the parts let me know

I got 2 fiberglass front bumpers from them in a timely manner but the quality was horrible. It took hours to get them to look like something.
So imo I'look somewhere else.

I bought a set of doors for a 64 Dodge from Walt and they were really nice, but that was 15 years ago!
