I have been racing on and off for over 40 yrs. Did not get out last year due to doctor's orders. I was in a bad accident in early 2009,broke my neck in 2 places, just had surgery again,hope to get to the track this spring if I'm feeling better.

I have been known to try.

this year me and my buddy raced Mopars at the strip,West Coast HotRod, Mopar Magic at Sac. Pinks at Sanoma and a few test & Tunes.

Hell I'm so busy at work I'm lucky to see my car once a month much less the strip lol.

I love to go fast first, race second. Four year drought till this fall, so for four years I was a key board racer in some minds. I have an opinion of that mind set,, Oh, lets not go there.
Gary (unlawful) was about going fast as much as racing, maybe more as I recall. So if the board wants to honor him, then a little leeway is in order.
In my mind, anyone that is trying to get down the track faster is welcome. That to me is what this forum is about as much as racing. For those purists that inssit on sticking to the letter,, PHTHAAAAAT!

That the kind of answer you were fishing for?? I too am shocked every day by the amount of topics that have little if nothing to do with racing...

every weekend possible for the past 25yrs and usually several different cars to boot!!!!!hell i even race my tow vehicle if the cars are broke.

Drove 16 hrs for a race last weekend...am I in? ......by the way...there are more racers here than on YB by a country mile....that place is the keyboard racer capital of the internet.

You guys are lucky , over in the UK we get around 4 months of the year to race , 2 months out of 4 it's usually raining , as you can see track time is pretty poor , i know 2 other guys on here from UK & they would probably give their right arm for the track time you guys get. .......last time i raced was August 1st this year @ Santa Pod , this i knew would be my last race as i had to sell my beloved 68 charger for reasons out of my control , worst thing was the motor had to go with it , you guys have it lucky.

After a small mishap at Norwalk this year the Daytona will be sitting in darkness for hopefully a short period of time.

I will be racing my duster with a new 408 early in the year and then maybe install a 512. Sure will be different.

In the last 2 years i have about 200 passes on my 86 buick t type(7.39 1/8 and 11.7 1/4).Building a 68 dart with a 499 now.

I pay an entry fee about 15 to 30 times a season and run my car down a dragstrip somewhere I guess this is racing. LOL

I like to race my car a few times a year. Mostly T&T's and Nostalgia events.

I dont care if someone currently has their car running or not to race! Im sure EVERYONE on here has gone through it! I enjoy reading alot of the knowledge people have to share on here whether its from the jaded members or aspiring racers! the only posts I really dont care for is the "theory" ones of how something works or it doesnt really matter which way ya go threads etc...

Nope, no actual racing here...my 40/50 10/11 second passes a year on the highway don't count for anything but that doesn't stop me from posting here learning how to try go faster. Thankfully there is a race forum here with a bunch of knowledgeable racers willing to share their knowledge and constructive advise.
