Bump!

I'm totally stoked for this event! Over the past year I was able to get my old pig together, pick up a nice race trailer set up, and plan to start attending some events (MATS). PINKS is just the first of a bunch I hope!

The last time at the track I ran an 11.43 with a slipping 3rd gear. Over the summer I picked up a nice shifting Hughes 727 with all the goodies and plan to hit the Eddy RPM .590 440 with a Monty Smith "125" shot that he's posted so many times on this board. I know a few of you guys and would love to pit somewhat close together. I'm always good for some bad jokes, a very loud laugh, and lots of pictures (especially if you're on FB).

My Duster is on jack stands in my garage waiting for the motor to be freshened, so I won't be racing.
I will be working in tech for the event. When you come to the upper pits to get inspected on Friday or Saturday please stop by and say hi if I'm not the one who inspects your vehicle. It will be real easy to find me. I'll be the only guy with his right arm in a sling.(I just had rotator cuff surgery last week.)

Can you believe it? Only 7 days away until we start pitting for one of the most AWESOME events ever held at Firebird Raceway, and we can't wait until you get here!!



In an effort to keep you informed and make things as quick and easy as possible, we have included in here....some detailed information regarding pitting, registration & set up.






Stacking

We will allow stacking and staging for registration to begin at 8:30 am on November 16th & 17th at Gate 1. We will close promptly at 5pm each day.



Registration


Opens at 11:00 am on Thursday, pitting opens at Noon You will be registered and pitted in the order you came in and were stacked.






Friday's Test & Tune has been changed to 12:30 - 6:00 pm to accommodate production and lighting set up.

I called Firebird earlier today. They have 560-ish cars registered, and the reserved seats are sold out for Saturday. She also said that they haven't sold out for any event in over 2 years.

Ya all have fun. I'll be at Speedworld Saturday. Shouldn't have any problem getting in lots of runs - and look Ma, no lines.

not 10 miles out had a blowout! getting new tire put on trailer as i text. Hope the rest of the trip is better.

I just went to the track to see if I could pick up my credentials and stuff.... Not unless I was pulling in to park for the event. They already have the first 100 or so tow rigs/racers parked in the pits. Hopefully we won't get put in the south 40 when we do get back out there with the entire crew.
