I bought a core 65 cable trans for my 64 Sport Fury. I'd like to know how much goes in the trash? I know the input and front pump splines are different. What else won't I be using?

Just get the pump, forward an wide bushing direct drum out of a later model and put it in.......then a billet rear servo, HD band strut, good valve body and a deep pan and you're good to go.......

If you can't handle the truth, you're living a lie.......

You need to replace the input shaft and reaction support in order to use late model converters. If you would like to use the wide bushing then get the front drum with the matching wide bushing reaction support. I don't feel the billet rear servo is needed if using a non low and apply valve body. The servo is only activated in reverse. You can leave the rear pump guts out. an after market front drum is up to you as far as you feel for safety. I personally have run stock Rabestos tan clutchs, drum, low roller,w/5.0 lever and 15 springs in the front clutch in low 10 second 3400lb cars for over 1000 passes w/o an overhaul.
