I meant to weigh my 517 but I calc'ed it to weigh about 570 lbs ready to drop in the car, or just slightly more than an all iron 340. That's with an aluminum WP/Housing 11/32 stem valved Chapman Stage VI heads and a 2241 gram bobweight crank. The block with caps did weigh 204 but that was after a hard block short fill (~3" below the deck). I figured my old Iron headed RB 508 weighed about 45 pounds more with the same wp/housing.

I'm curious to know also, surely somebody here has

Interesting tidbit, based on random sets I weighed, an iron small block head weighed about 2 pounds more than an Iron big block head!! Can't confirrm it but I'd swear an Iron 340 intake weighs more than a 383 or 440 too.

Thanks Streetwize! I was thinking mine was in the 550 - 600 lb range. Mine is also filled. I have Indy SR heads. I think there is a major weight based on the heads. A buddy Just bought a set of original B1's and the are way heavier than my SR's.
