The way some of my work looked last night, I might as well been using a SawZall. I've really lost whatever finesse I (may have?) had once due to lack of time w/ a grinder any time recently.

Being in a hurry to make significant progress wasn't good, either. And THAT's probably why there's a hole in the roof of one runner.

Anyone modified an Indy 400-2 (4150 single plane for 'B' block) intake manifold for better fuel distribution?

Dunno, 'cuz I wasn't interested in their Stage 2 version, only the Stage 1 which (as I already mentioned previously in this thread) adds approx. $300, not $600, to the intake cost.

And, no, I don't know what they're claiming for gains w/ their Stage 1 deal, other than some CFM improvements over an OOB Victor. I'd like to know some "real world" results from dyno or track w/ such a change, too.

I am running stage 3 CNC ported victor 440 standard ports heads from hughes. I have used a super victor manifold ootb and then sent it to dave for a full CNC port while using race gas. I really didn't see any E.T. gain until i switched to methanol in which i gained a half second. hope that helped answer you question if anybody has done that..

That sucks to spend all that money and get nothing out of it. I would imagine you would have dropped a half second on the methanol w/o doing anything to the intake.

He built a big inch SB for a friend and it was a giant pile of cr@p. My friend got lured by the engine master thing and was absolutely hosed. It was like 13K+ IIRC. The machine work was HORRID.

I sure hope you know what your talking about Because don't appreciate you slandering our name all over the internet!! I've never had a customer call me up and complain that there machine work was...as you say "HORRID". And we have never charged a customer 13K+++ for an SB mopar
