My 1971 GTX was RS23U1G100327 and had an spd of 803 , HOWEVER , my car was assembled on 810 (I found a piece of St Louis newspaper under the back seat dated Aug 10), and I don't believe their were any St Louis SPDs assigned between 803 and 810 . I did a good bit of research on this back when I had my GTX.
I am sure some pilots were assembled earlier, but it appears actual production began on Aug 10 (although about 400 units did carry an 803 SPD).

I have the buildsheet to RS23U1G100673 and it has an 810 SPD . I also documented RS23U1G100823 at the Mopar nats in 1998 . It has an 810 SPD.
Although my car # 100327 had an 803 SPD I know my car was assembled latter . My numbers matching engine had an assembly date of 803 . And the 810 dated newspaper under my back seat , (along with various headliner, vinyl top scraps and screws, clips left by the assembly line workers)pretty much has me convinced production in St Louis didn't actually get up and going until Aug 10.
