Hoping someone can help
Are the Aeromotive fuel pumps compatible with E85?

Has anyone run a #11102 pro-series Aeromotive pump on here.... feedback?

I have it on the outside. I have the eliminator pump a step up from the a-1000 http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/fuel-pumps/11104-eliminator-fuel-pump/

I also run the pump controller they sell. http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/a...eed-controller/

It really helps quiets the pump down at idle, but my car is pretty thumpy sounding to even try to hear the pump.

I run russell brand filters.

thanks Dan,

was the #11104 pump housing physically larger than the A1000?

& are you running E85? apparently not all pumps are compatible

Yes I am running e-85 right now. I just have not ran it at the track yet. The pump looks the same size. I went from the a-1000 to the #11104 when I decided to run e-85 just incase the 1000 was not enough. I also went with bigger injectors ect.

awesome, thanks. I think I'll go with the #11102 just to be safe. I think it'll be the same size physically.
will check out the filters you suggested as Aeromotive don't seem to list stainless outlet filter elements with -12 sizing.

thanks again Dan.

This is what I have before the pump

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-230212ERL/

This is the smallest micron filter I could see for a -12 line setup after the pump

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PFS-10302/

you just need 1/2 npt fittings to -12

I have a -12 pickup but only -10 line from the pump to the front of the car.

any gas fuel pump will "work" with e85, but it will fail pretty quickly.

The internal parts of an E85 pump are made of different materials than a gasoline pump, which are able withstand the corrosive nature of e85.

Yes that is also my understanding, also that you need stainless steel filters (as paper will fail). I still do not have a definitive answer on the Aeromotive pumps for continuous duty with E85 (#11101 (A1000) through #11104).. any comments and/or experience appreciated !!

I called and asked before I bought my 220HR from B.G. and was assured it was E-85 compatible.
I hope they weren't lying.

I haven't had ant problems with their pumps. 4 years on a bg400 with no issues. I would not run the regs as the ethanol eats the seats in them. Saw this first hand last year on the 2ports. I ran a 4 port for 2 years with no problems but after seeing what happened with the 2port I will not run it anymore.

AJ, what are you running as a regulator on your car? I've heard about the diaphragm regulators being ate up also from E85

I will only comment on pumps that I have personally used with E85.
Have had no issues with BG280, Holley black and ProComp black.
But the motors on the ProComp pumps don't last long.

I run -10 braided cell to pump to reg. -8 to carb out of the regulator. Just your standard russel hose.
