I have a 1973 cuda with the original front case on a A833 transmission c99129H built on 4115 Nov 2 1972. It did not come with a tail shaft. What is the part number for the proper tailshaft?

Is it a big block trans or a smallblock trans ? The casting number on the case is the same whether it's a big or smallblock trans, the tail housing is different depending on the bearing size but hole in the case is the same either way.

As far as what one you need it's the one with 2 shifter mounting pads, that's the only one for use in an E body.

C99539 is the tailshaft casting number for the 70 & newer B/E body cars.
