Went to Thompson on Sunday for the last big race, lots and lots of cars. Only had time for two time trials first pass 10.81@124 1.55 60', second pass 10.78@125 1.53 60'. First round he dials 10.04 on a bike I have 10.80 on mine. I leave first and look in the mirror at half track looks like he had some trouble on the start but is coming fast. When I think I'm OK I let up and go through first get to the booth and see I broke out But get this 10.75@119 1.52 60' you can see I let off it went 6mph slower. Lost the race and a chance for my best ET. Any way to tell what it could of ran.

Check your 1/8th mile incriments. Then do the math, typically you can mulitply 1/8 times by 1.55-1.57 to get a 1/4 ET. 1.57 for slower cars like yours 1.55 for faster cars, but it depends on the combo, either way they will be close.

Did the math on both 1.55 and 1.57 comes up 10.76 I ran 10.75. I think since I went 6mph slower my ET might of been a low 70 maybe a high 60.

Your 60 foot was better...that's a could down track. You might have lifted closer to the stripe than you think. Also why were you racing a bike???? that sounds...well...silly to me. What were your shift points? Did the temp drop off?

A small improvement in your 60 ft time ( even just .001 )can make a big difference in ET. Your loss is why I don't dial slower than I think my car will run anymore ( used to )and then lift at the other end. Too many cars are running right on their dial these days, and lifting at the big end was just too much of a "guess" for me - JMHO. I uauslly dial 2-3 hundreds faster than my car will run that particular day and concentrate on my RT - where the race is usually won anyway.

It was a gamblers race split into box no box. I shift on my light temp seemed to be the same not a weather man. It was 1:20 last time trial and 3:45 on my last pass don't think it changed that much. Just want some ideas on what it would of done had I ran it out. My 1/8 mile times were 6.89,6.88,and 6.85 for the last one.

I was there running my 63 on Sunday also. Once they started the gamblers there was a good tail wind and I saw quite a few cars breaking out. I think you would have went at least a .72 and maybe a .70 It was a fun day for sure and alot of nice cars there. I went a couple of 1.34 60 fts times there and that was great for that track!!

you don't scub off that much time letting of near the end.
as a reference yesterday I has having handing issues after changing my torsion bars to drag race bars third run (almost had it) let of maybe 150 feet early as it to a dive toward the wall. 1st run had been well 12.27 @ 87 then 10.85 @ 107 third went 10.54 @ 118.51. one more little tweak to the cal tracks and 10.48 @ 128.58 then 10.52 @ 128.58 and last was 10.47 @ 129.3
Your 1/8 mile times will be the best indicator
my last 4 runs including the 10.54 @ 118.5 were 6.665 to 6.691 all about the same 1/8 mph were all 102.7's
