I know some like them day 1 and 2 and leave parts that have no coating that way. What type oil ect do you use to keep it as it should be?
I know clear yellows except you use real car paint clear.

ECS is selling some new powder stuff that keeps bare metal from rusting. Not sure if it's on their website yet,but I've seen Dave talking about it in a few threads.Maybe shoot him a PM to get the 411 on it.

An old Mopar Muscle article told of tips used by Frank Badalson:
Wipe cast iron parts with 140 wt gear oil and wipe off with a dry towel. The oil will slowly dry and keep scale from forming.

But that's not allowed for O.E. Gold judging from what Dave W. stated on what cost him on the Challenger FWTIW to the non-show restorers. Does the RPM have to be re-applied like a wax after a certain time or is it a one time application?

Just a bounce to the top...Any other oils that take awhile to come off for things bare metals

Frank suggested I use mp50 in some areas to protect uncoated metal.

Picklex 20 or Purple Power De-ruster works great and it also etches the metal,so no need to remove it, just scuff and spray epoxy when ready

OSPHO here and it works great. Car has been apart after blasting for 2 years and no rust except where my bodyman has set his beer!

We treated some of the as cast parts on our stuff with some XIM. Dont even know if its made anymore. But its tintable, and we got a driveshaft to look "correct" with this stuff, and then we treated it with XIM and its still fine from what I know. I havent seen the car or heard from him in a year ir 2, but he is persnikity about that stuff, so Im assuming its ok.
