Nope, No repos for 68, the longer pictured, or the 69's. Don't know if they will repop the 68's as there doesn't seem to be a big demand. Everytime I list a set for sale it takes a while to get a buyer.

Don't cringe, but we are using ones for a 70 Chevelle in a friend's 68 RR. They are all chrome but close in size to these. At least are available. Don't have any pics of the finished seats yet. Just an idea...

not to go too far off topic but has anyone ever installed the medallions AFTER the seats were re-done or is that impossible? I would think the rear seat back might be possible (not easy for sure) but the front I'm thinking no way in he##....

I saw some for sale in the b body section or epay recently..

They must be installed before the ocver is installed, there is no extra room on the studs.. the retainer is s tight fit with the cover thickness only..

My car is a 68 but I have the long ones. When I got the car i found most of the buildsheet in the upper portion of the back seat. So I'm pretty confident that it was built with the long ones.

If anybody runs into a set, parts, or any other qtys of the long blue ones I'm interested.

When I bought my RR the front seat had be redone without the medallions. It took me over three years and a lot of money to find a correct set.

As for installing the it was simple.

1. Removed the seat backs from the bench.
2. Marked where the medallions should be attached.
3. Removed the hog rings at the bottom of the seat back.
4. I worked a small piece of wood up between the vinyl and the padding, to provide access.
5. Used a wood burning tool to burn the holes through the vinyl.
6. Installed the pins on the medallions into burned holes and installed the backs.
7. Removed the wood block and reinstalled the hog rings.
8. Reinstalled the seat backs.

Entire process took 30 minutes tops.

Does anyone have a color chart as to how many colors the insert could be? Is it low demand, that nobody is re-poping these?

I've been wondering, mainly courious, about hitting up a metal shop in town to see if they could make this. but i dont know

Insert colors in the medallions matched the insert colors on the seats.
For example: green seats had light green inserts & dark green bolsters; medallion inserts would be the same light green.
