Vernon, Ohio	was thinking about a few thing's that I need to do to the motor this winter and changing out the bronze distributor drive was one of them,,,,untill I looked at the price $215.00!! WOW! I remember 4 years ago I gave $75.00 for one and bout had a kiniption fit, now I wish I had bought a couple of spares. Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

I know ,,mabey someone thought it was a chunk of gold since the two are about the same color. These parts are not that different from one another, but like anything when you make 10,000 it is a bunch less expensive than making 1,000.

Thinking like that is referred to as "cause and effect" and is frowned upon. It's just WAY better to end up with "unintended results".... that way you can claim it was all "unexpected" in the media.

I have a customer working on getting a part he makes changed over to brass with nickel plating from Bronze. This guy is going thru all kinds of testing with the UL to get away from bronze.
