i`ve never seen any pics of a front clip swap so i just kind of did it my own way. i still need to weld it solid and put some bracing in. i did lots of measuring/leveling and wrote lots of measurements down before i did anything. its a 47 desoto and an 88 dakota.

Did this ever go any further? I've got a 49 Plymouth I thought of trying this on and would like to see some pics of one finished.

i got as far as mounting the motor and steering column, working on the floor now.

i did the same thing to my 50 hudson--i used 2" drop spindles to get it back to the level of original-----previous incarnation on the hudson was a 1985 jaguar XJ6 front clip---you guys running the jag rears should check out these fronts--4 bolts plus motor mounts hold them in they have 4 piston calipers power rack--a downer to it is that the rack is a rear steer---means you need a rear sump engine and may have to set it back an extra inch or 2---bob
