okie OP pro stock O Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,222 okla.	The drive shaft in my 70 RR looks like it was throwed out before I got it. It has several big dents in it. Will this throw itout of balance? I have a noise in the back when I get up to 60 are so on the road. I checked the u-joints and they are good. I need to get this figured out. TIA Ronnie

stumpy I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 32,932 Grand Prairie,Texas	If it has good sized dents it's toast. But you can take it to a drive shaft shop and get the tube replaced for a reasonable price. It's the yokes that get expensive.

pacifica mopar P Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 602 N.E.Ohio	Jack up the rear of your car [tires off the ground] and support it with stands [BE SAFE!] Run the car in manual low or second gear at idle and watch the driveshaft rotating. You will be able to see how bent it is or is not. As Stumpy said, head to driveshaft shop next.
