I have a friend who is replacing some headers with exhaust manifolds in a 73 318 Dart for friend. He needs to know what will fit. I know the up and over styles (as seen here) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-Mopar...es#ht_500wt_876 will be harder to find.

1 Do any of the better flowing magnum units with the exit to the rear fit the A bodies?

2 Will any of the center dump car and truck units clear?

Thanks

The Dakota / Durango / Ram or van units will fit well on the passenger side, no dice on the drivers.

Drivers side you have to go with the "swept up" unit to clear the steering box.

I don't know if manual steering makes a difference or not.

Check the Forabodiesonly forum, the 318 manifolds usually are pretty cheap ($25 each)

The left side is always the bummer. If you are using a manual steering box, you can use 318 or 360 manifolds from a Cordoba, Aspen or the Diplomat cars. These manifolds will fit power steering if you grind them for clearance. Start by grinding and test fitting until they fit. The iron is pretty thick but be careful.

I have a set from a 70 dart 318 engine power steering. Cover the shipping from Connecticut and you can have them. Just need to remove them from the engine. Let me know, John.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll let him know about your generous offer too. He had a local lead on a cheap set.
