Need to get my dash bezel rechromed. Called Mr G's and they have a great price. Anybody ever use them? Do they do good work?
Thanks

I'm real close to them but never used them, but I've heard a lot of bad things on them. What do you need? You can get most of the bezels new now and they are cheaper than getting them redone. Check with Mike on here at BE-A, there bezels are nice. I have used them and like them. Ronnie

I've seen posts about that company on another forum that would lead me to go elsewhere.

What is so bad? Is it the chrome? Does it peel? They break your parts? Im sure the new ones are great but I am on a budget and this is just for a driver, not a show car. BE&A does not list a kit for a 67 but even if they did, I cant afford it. Mr G quoted 79 to do the speedo bezel and 39 for the heater bezel. Thats more like my budget. Its either that or silver paint. Now thats to only chrome. I can do the detail work myself. Thats why I would like to know what they do bad so I can make a decision. Or just bust out the silver spray can.
Thanks

had a 1966 Satellite bezel done. within 6 months it was yellowed. If you try to clean it with anything stronger than a tissue it pulls the chrome off with it

I bought a interior screw kit from them, most were not correct, the right thread yes, but the screw heads were wrong.

I just talked to a guy on Sunday that had a VERY bad experience with them as well for the chrome plating...

Well, I called CV and they were very nice, but cost is about 540 dollars. They will not do chrome only. That kind of cash is not in my budget for a couple pieces of plastic. Is there anyone else?

You can try Glenn at GCAR. He has done dash plating for me and the quality was excellent and price was very reasonable in my opinion

I will step up and admit I used Mr. Gs..

Part shipped from their stock, was probably better than mine..

No problems. Great price , good delivery..

and I wont clean it with anything other than a duster...
