I've attached a picture of some valve covers I picked up way back in 2005. The guy said they were 1970 440-6 valve covers. Does anyone know if they are or if they are to some other year etc? Thanks
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

They are the same as the ones that were on my 74 400. All the tabs and wire holders are in the same spot.

For future reference,...here are the 70, one year only covers
Nice, Thanks to everyone for the help. Looks like I'm now in the market for a set.

Here's what I started out with. After some time, I just didn't like the aluminum look and just wanted more orange, more of a factory look, in spite of the obvious performance parts. I guess I also wanted something closer to stock appearing to the untrained masses.

With a big thanks to my buddy DennisH for trading valvecovers with me, this is what it looks like now. The Indy 440-EZ's look almost stock now...lol
The passenger side cover looks identical to the pictures posted by Dayclona. I did notice the driver's side has an extra spark plug wire tab towards the rear, but until I'm ready to take all the go-fast goodies off it, install the numbers matching engine back in it, and retire the car to as a museum piece or a trailer queen; it looks much better to me.

Attached is a photo of same valve covers installed on a Sept. '70 Ontario built '71 GTX purchased new by my brother that has now been passed on to my other brother. I once heard that this style was also installed on some late '70 engines, but I'm not sure. It appears likely that these were used in '72, but again i'm not sure.
These valve covers happen to be for sale (asking $240.00) if any one is interested

they are 70s but they are 1970 c -body ones
b-bodys ones do not have spark plug wire tabs on them
Ahh, thanks for the info. Are you saying neither side will have the spark plug holders? or just the driver's side?
I actually interested in learning which covers are correct for a 1970 e-body with 440 and ECS.
Mine were long gone when I got the car back in 1978, along with the original rims and all the shaker scoop parts and the spare. Fortunately, I was able to get the factory shaker parts way back in the day, before they became worth their weight in gold.
Since the picture below was taken almost 4 years ago, it's been undergoing a complete restoration. As it inches closer to completion, I realize how labor and financially intensive such a project is and how important Moparts is as a resouce, especially this section. Thanks to all who contribute here!

They are exactly the same as my 72 400 motor...
1972 Road Runner / GTX 440 4spd Dana 3.54 Just about to turn 26K original miles..
A boat, a GMC truck, some Craftsman Tools, LOTS of Zombie Protection, and a few Goldfish..
If you love someone set them free.. If they come back it means nobody else wanted them either..!!
