On my sons 68 Dart I used a Poly kit for my 65 Cuda. But in my sons car we had welded up all the gaps and I installed gussets to the tabs of where the UCA bolts in. This made the whole area so much sturder. But it was a bear getting the control arms in. Was tight but a "little rap" with a 2 lb hammer and they popped into place. Alignment was spot on when done.

We'r talking about old stuff here and things have moved a bit from its first birthday, and so has our cars frontends.

Good idea to gusset that area. Real common to find cracks in A-bodies around there.

Steve we are good & now I understand why the discrepency in the dimentions and I must have bent them when cranking the upper ball joints real tight. I didn't think an UCA would bend that easy. thank you for taking the time to measure and take pics of this. the bushings in there were actually fine but I had the new ones in the kit so I wanted to change them to feel I was making some progress

Hi there,
I've just installed the Moog 7103's aswell on my ute and had a hard time getting the arm's back in.
these Moog bushings seem a bit wider than the stock type that we get here in OZ, I think it's got alot to do with the washers they supply are thicker than the OME type, anyway what i did to get my arm's in was to put a small bend on the outside washers, maybe 45 deg or less on the bottom of the large washers, now you don't want to bend to much, I just put the very tip of the washer in the vice and give it a sharp bump close to the gaws.
This was all it needed, so i could bump it in with a rubber mallat. hope this helps.
