Used the bushings from a 73-76 A body moog front end reubild kit on my 65 Dart UCA's. they pressed in OK but today I went to istall the UCA and these bushings have shifted the UCA ~1/4" so if wont fit in there (on either side). WTH, it fit OK b 4 I changed them out. Are these bushings different from early to later A??. Thank you for your time.

Take some measurements from your old bushings you pressed out.
Moog calls for the same part numbers for '65 and '73, '68, '70...

Alright if I still have the old ones I will compare them. yeah I thought they were the same also. Might have to R&R them & get the offset ones that you educated me that I should have in there w power steering. I still want max caster right?

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Whenever you have time and I'll measure these also. EDIT it seemed like I needed to remove about half of the outer flange shoulder on the UCA so the bushings could be pressed in further. I will recheck

I just measured one UCA from end to end & it was just shy of 9.5", much less than your 9&5/8". I can set either end into the frame tabs & it fits but then either other end wont. It's like the wishbone has been spread but my dimentions are less than yours . The car (65 dart) is on stands and has not been disturbed ex I started the eng & revved it several times but that's not it & as said the UCA's fit fine before I changed these 4 bushings. I am lost. I'll get back on it tomorrow.

Jim I cranked the UBJ to 140 lbs w 1 leg in a vise and used the correct install tools for the bushings but I'm puzzled as my wing spread (9&1/2) is less than the 9&5/8" michael has on his. yes I'm thinking of compressing it as a last resort but I'm still missing something here. I'll recheck it this afternoon

Robert , explain this ? Sounds like you ground on the arms and this may be where you lost your .125 ?

Bro I haven't ground anything (yet). Where I'm at is on both sides of the car (both UCA's are out of whack) I set the front of 1 UCA in the recess & it fit well and looked like it could be easily tapped into place but the other rear one the bushing seemed like it stuck out too far on the outer (rear) face so I was thinking I could take out the rear bushing & grind a bit off of the flange shoulder on the outside (rear) of the UCA then (re) press it in and then it'd be forward enough to fit as I thought it was a bushing length prob but then I pulled the front out of the recess and the rear bushing fit its recess nicely but now the front would not fit so both ends fit OK ex the wingspan is too wide. It was quittin time at that point and I have not been back on it (yet) today. That's where I am at on this. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking you bent the one leg that was clamped down. Look through the bushings and see if they line up (like looking through a g*n scope). You will be able to see if they are straight.
