I have mp electronic ignition and lately the charging rate to me is excessive high 14s, ive replace two regulators with the same results does anyone have any ideas what would cause this problem? the battery is good. thanks

clean all the ground wires you can find.

And the VR ground as well. Take it off and clean both surfaces under the bolts.

new reg/good batt only leaves a poor connection causing an excessive voltage drops somewhere which in turn makes the VR think the batt is being undercharged so it ups the rate to fix it. Grab your VOM & check every point from the alt "batt" terminal into the dash and back out to the battery positive post and the v drops in the field circuit to the brushes/reg and as said the ground side is equally as important (batt neg to block/block to alt/block to vr case/block to frame). Do pull the brushes & give them a quick check
