Lots of parts store computers are wrong in my experience.
I had both a 96 and 98 5.9L Ram and both only had a precat and post cat sensor despite the parts store computer.

Were your trucks CA. trucks and they were looked up incorrectly? I had to get a new O2 for my wifes 02 Jeep and now my Ram. I go to my local NAPA for parts like these, not Advanced or Auto Zone.
