Did the 1970-71 440-6 have large Oil Pan and windage tray, and the 1969 1/2 440-6 have the std. 440 oil pan and without windage tray? Thanks.

Both had the windage tray. 1970 4 bbl HP & 6 bbl had the 6 qt pan, 69 1/2 had the 4 qt pan.

The 70/71 pan is the same as a 70/71 Hemi pan. They call it a 6 qt pan. The 70/71 440 pickup is straight and I believe the baffle goes all around the sump. The 69, 70/71 HP's all had the windage tray.

Here is a photo of the 6 quart pan inside... or go to Ebay item #400131395183 for a better look.
