Heard of some "issues" that makes me wonder if the event is still a go or not for this year.
Plan to come over and spectate.
Anybody know for sure??

All my talks with Charlie and Eddie have been positive for the CCs at Norwalk and future CC Events.Plans are already in the making for next seasons events.Unfortunately all the sidebar issues are a distraction and lead to rumors and assumptions.I will not involve myself or the members of BGR on commenting on the personal issues of those involved since it is none of our business.Like many post that tend to "dramatize" certain events and issues,I can only make an observation that it serves no positive purpose and only deminishes the character of those that thrive on trying to bring their "dirty laundry" and air it in a venue dedicated to our sport. Please keep the back alley brawling and cheap shots privately between the private parties and let us enjoy or sport.I personally have put my personal feelings aside on many occasions in order to enjoy our racing events and the people that share a common interest even if some have pissed me off,I get over it and move on,"Life is too short",belive me I know and respect an try to enjoy each and every day.
Respectfully Bob

Great sermon ,Bob.

The fact that the Classic events filed bankruptcy, which is of course a public knowledge situation,as its a way to get out of paying creditors, could affect a lot of racers. That is why bankruptcy filings are public record, for just that reason. But you should already know that

If you dont like it being raised, dont comment on it, i guess.

No sermon,Don,just repeating the words that were relayed to me.From what I understand Charlie went bankrupt and they are negociating with an individual for financial backing for the events.Could be that a"new"Mopar Classic Events is in the making. What ever happens,I hope the series continues.Other than that it's none of my business. The Curt George Memorial Race,at PRP will survive no matter what happens.I generally take people for their word unless I find otherwize. If you have better and more factual information then I will stand corrected.

I doubt Billy would kill the event even if CC Events were to back out. To big of a turn out. With him running his own "brand" shows now it would make sense to stay that course.

Very true. Fun Ford went under, and the Baders put together their own Ford show, which was well attended. They've also done their own Chevy show. Support the race and they'll see to it that there will always be a Mopar show to attend at Norwalk.

All I can say on the issue is that I hope someone can step up and keep the Chrysler Classic events going. We all here on the east coast should be thankful that we have a series like this for us to attend on a regular basis, to go out and enjoy what we love to do and hang out with old and new friends

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.

It's not just bankruptcy ,,it's chapter 7 according to the Columbus Dispatch,,which means liquidation,,I read it myself.

Everyone is aware of the bankruptcy, but like many other business's that go under, many resurface under a new name and or managment(owners). That a new series with a similar event format as I mentioned maybe in the works. The series is such a great asset and event to the Mopar community I feel someone will step up and revive it.Hopefully some one with good business savy and strong finincal backing will see the value of the event.I like the ring of "The New Mopar Classic Event"something new with out all the past drama.

Wow, this is the first I heard of the CC Events bankruptcy. Do you think it was due to poor turn out at some events, or too many hands taking a piece of the pie? I bet it is tough to pay the track what they want, do all the advertising, work with the sponsors, run the business all year, etc. and have money left over. When a track holds a race on their own, many of the costs are not incurred. And most of the advertising for this fall's race is already done to attract the racers. But if CC Events folds, the sponsors of many of the payouts could back out, and the track will have decide on the payout structure. But from the car count, that should not be a problem at Norwalk... at least this year.

The Norwalk event gets a great turn out, and should show a big profit, for two reasons. One is the reputation of the CC Events series, and two is the great way the track handles the racing.

Sorry I gotta disagree with Bob on this issue, although I give him huge credit for attempting to take the high road on this subject. When you beat somebody bloody at a public event, in an attempt to hush someone whom you owe a large sum of money to, I'd not call it very private anymore. Need to call a spade a spade and a thug a thug and forget about political correctness, because it is concerning our sport doesn't mean we should look the other way.
This self proclaimed hillbilly should look into some counseling for anger management before he hurts somebody else cause he thinks they should shut up. Maybe get some meds dialed in, and leave the event promoting to competent adults capable of rational thought and proper bookkeeping.

In a chapter seven all assets are sold - even the title rights i.e the name and and contractual relationships of the company. Given the long list of creditors and how it was filed - this one should move through the courts rather quickly. Starting a new series may be possible but it can not have remotely the same name until that asset is cleared the courts - meaning sold to a potential new owner or dissolved by the court. The remaining events contractually obligated are most likely being run by a receiver. I have seen this way to many times in my line of business the ego gets ahead of the wallet, new cars, trucks big lines of credit - but the income from the business does not support repayment because the ego grows - it's like feeding a pet bear soon or later the bear eats you if you don't feed him enough! There is an good opportunity here for somebody willing to step and put a series togethor - but level heads need to make decisions without emotion
