I have a buddy who doesn't do computers very well so I'm asking on his behalf. I do paint and body so I'm not much help to him but I know somebody here can help. He's building a stock car replica and he's wanting to build it like he would have done in the day, using what's readily available and building parts. He landed a running 400 and a 4spd but is having problems getting the other parts he needs to make it work, ie, bell houshing, clutch, fly wheel, etc. Does anybody know what parts would enterchange? I'm guessing any BB bell housing would work. What about fly wheel, clutch, etc? Will he need to drill his crank for a throw out bearing pilot? Anything you can help clear up would be a help.

If the 400 was not out of a Manual Car. He will probably have to drill the Crank.
Either Big Block Bell Housing will work. He will just have to get all the 10.5 or 11 inch parts to match(clutch,Pressure Plate and Flywheel) the Bell he chooses.
