My calculations indicate that I need part number 2538939, which is 25389391966-75SPEEDOMETER GEAR 39 TEETH,GREEN for my '71 RR. I can't seem to find this speedo gear anywhere. I also checked numerous vendors here and still NG. Y/O lists several, but not this one. Any ideas where I can find it. Thanks.

Yeah, $60 bucks is an unpleasant number, I didn't check the price earlier, but cost is set by the market and, as you say, you can't find one.

I have always had good luck dealing with these people.

Try checking those PN's (as well as 52068061, which supercededs that #) at www.moparmaster.com. It shows to be about $26 there. Wasn't that long ago a speedo pinion was like $8.00... must be the price of gas...

I'm looking here now on Chrysler's DealerConnect and there are 30 of 52068061 gears still out there.
Order one from your dealer.
My price screen shows 37.00 Canadian.....so you'll probably only be looking at 35.00 or so.
