Lately as I'm out crusing in my 72 Challenger, I'm noticing that the rear view doesn't stay in position. A bump or two and it moves out of adjustment.

Is there a way to fix this or are repops available?

Unscrew the mirror from the roof. Inside you will see the end of the pivot ball on the shaft. The ball end is under a plate with 2 screws. Tighten up the screws and that should solve your problem.

Thanks for the post with the hammer fix. Ive tightend up screws to no avail. Didn't think about "forming the plate"

Cut a piece from a pop can and put it under the plate. Make it the same size as the ball end. It will take up the play between the ball and plate. You will be good for 30 more years

No problem, I actually started to do a write-up, but halfway into it, I did some searching and found that post. They probably gave a better description than I could have, LOL
