Was it possible to order the chrome sill trim along the bottom on a 70 GTX. I've seen some with it on, but all the information I've seen it wasn't available on the GTX? I really like the way it looks, even if it wasn't available I would like to put it on mine but I don't want to drill holes for the clips in an almost perfect Arizona Body, I looked at them last year a Carlisle and thought I could put them on with moulding tape, bu there isn't enough lip on the chrome. Thoughts?

I'm not a GTX guru, but I suspect the reason is GTX's were more likely ordered with wheel arch mouldings. You couldn't order both, it was either the arch mouldings or the rocker mouldings. BTW I didn't even realize my RR was born with the rocker mouldings till it was stipped and the covered holes were exposed.

70 GTX never came with rocker moldings PERIOD. Wheel lip moldings yes. Did some dealers install them, yes. I have a friend who still has his car, it's a true survivor and he claimed that he ordered it with the rocker moldings. After looking over his paper work, he did order it that way, and the dealer installed the moldings.
