Could someone provide me the overall dimensions for the 71-71 B-body high performance (non airgrabber) hood? I don't have physical access to it right now, but I need a shipping cost from New Jersey to a guy in Hawaii who wants the hood ($575). I had one shipper look at it and quote me a price of $1,122, but I think that is excessive. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shipping something like that is excessive because of it's size, couple that with the fact that it's shipping 5500 or so miles.

Sounds about right for a hood from NJ to HI.
Sent a C-body trunk pan in a crate from CO to NJ for around 500.00

Plymouth hood is 5x4.5 feet. It's a little shorter since it has a header panel...

Thanks everyone for your help. The guy wants the hood, but I quess the shipping cost scared him off because I haven't heard from him since I e-mailed him the cost a few days ago.

FWIW> I had made a 2x4 box for a 71 air grabber hood to Utah. Continental wouldn't take it. Dropped it off at Mailboxes etc. Cost 500 to ship, or around there.. ever do that again..
