I went up with Lar_414 last week to the track and just getting some feedback on my times. I've got a #3978 67 B body with 3.55 gears and a 3k stall. Engine is a 499 with OOTB eddys, SD intake, 950HP carb, small solid (247/255, .549/.571). 275/60-15 M&H drag radials. I ran a best of 11.85@114.3 with a 1.70 60ft. I've got SS springs and mopar long shocks. This is with full exhaust (1.75 cheap headers), left in D (shifts at 6k on it's own), and with me driving (I'm not good). Am I in the ball park? I think ther's a little more in it, somewhere

ET and speed line up well, as does the 60 foot. Obviously low 11's would be easily attainable with a gear, header change and a little port work. Nice ride!

Don't know if this helps, but one of the class racer types says that the optimum ET is 1320/MPH, so going by that, 11.55 would be your optimum ET -almost there

I'm trying. My feet don't always work together. Even when I walk.
hahaha ahhh. 3.91's will help more than ya think. load up the converter some then stomp it as the last yellow pops, shift that thing at 6200 and see how that goes.

I really like your car alot. 11's from a 2 ton street car with 3.55's that you drive is very good indeed. I think it runs good but I also think it has very low 11's in it with a few changes as stated and some fine tuning. I love the all stock sleeper look. If you really think you are a bad driver maybe try and let someone else make a pass and see how it runs. Good luck with that fine Mopar as I know it will be in the lower 11's soon. Ron

I like the car, here's my Plymouth version.....
I'd say those are great times for your combo. I just took my 452" B motor out for the first time a week ago, and went 12.40. My combo has more cam, bigger headers with 3" dumps, and 3.91's, in a lighter car, You have more cubes, and more carb, Im running OTB Stealths, but you're right where I hope to be! Great build! Nice car! BTW: what are you carrying sandbags in the trunk? My Plymouth weighs in at 3760 with me in it. You've got an RB, but that seems heavy (???).

Cool car, but there's definitely more in it......Personaly, I'd put a better/looser converter in it.......I've got LOTS of customer's cars running around with 3.55 gears and 4,500 to 5,000 stall converters that run in the 10's....... For comparison, this car's went 10.70's @ 124 the first and only time out at 3,500LBS with 3.55's, a STOCK stroke 440, OOTB Edelbrock heads, 850 Demon, big tube headers, and a cam similar to yours....... Another customer's '64 Plymouth weighs 3,870LBS and runs 10.70's @ 124 also with 4.10's and 30" tires.........Another STOCK stroke, pump gas 440 with Indy -1's, mild roller, and 5,500 converter.......
If you can't handle the truth, you're living a lie.......

I think your car runs and looks great! I would do the stuff already mentioned and have fun with it. I personally shoot for a trap RPM that is 300 RPM over your best shift point. My current car shifts at 6600 and traps at 6900. I also prefer ATI converters, I've had the best luck with them in a street/strip car.
Leaving harder in an automatic car just means more RPM.I usually brake torque to 2500 and just floor it on the last yellow.
