Well Pete made the haul to Rt.66 this weekend for our MidWest Top Sportsman race. Pete has never raced in the 1/4 mile with this combination. Well with his 588" B1 PSO headed Stratus he went on a terror with a string of 7.41's @ 186 MPH and then an unfortunate breakout of 7.39 @ 187 MPH !!! in round 3. I was very impressed with his performance.

For the record the air temp was 89 degrees, 68 % humidity,and DA was 4200 feet! Just wait for some better air and he'll be in the mid to low 7.30's on motor.

Thanks again for making the haul, hopefully it was worth the trip.

Thanks Sean, We had a great time, what a great group of people, I can not say enough about Route 66 and the Midwest Top Sportsman, it was a blast. The 588 PSO Head Engine is running better than I expected and I am still tunning on it. I have not tunned the chassis yet, what a great car it is. The car is the one Rickie Jones used at the mid to end of 2009 (The All Blue one). The car is 2400 LBs, two speed trans and no power adders.

Anyway congrats on the numbers. You are making some power for sure. Care to share any other engine details? Sure is flying for 2400lbs with no help.

Both Pete and I lost 3rd round (quarter finals), we had 29 TS cars qualify for this race.

Thanks every one, what a rush running that fast for me. The car is unreal and feels good at speed. Yes I wrecked the Black Avenger and we fixed some of it and sold it. The best part is the PSO Head really runs hard and this shows that. I guess air flow isnt everthing . Al if you look up my old posts it has the engine info and dyno test. We are real busy at the shop, I will try and keep everyone updated with the better air coming in the fall, Thanks again
