Does anyone have the tube bending formula, for bending rollcages? I've seen it posted somewhere, but can not find it anywhere. For the chassis builders out there, do you use the math, or just wing it when it comes to bending the main hoop?

Thanks.

Jeff

Bend It is a free program that is used to calculate and layout the bend marks on a straight piece of tubing when fabricating roll bars and roll cages for race cars.

i bent the bars for both my 'cuda & dart. my plan was mostly freehand, we drew the parameters out with chalk on the concrete & then bend the bars accordlingly. worked out really well & the bars are nice & close to the body.(the cars' that is, not mine)

Check out pirate4x4.com/bendingtube101 simple explanation of how and why. Heck, I could even understand it.

Can't thank you enough for the Pirate4x4 info. Just got done bending my main hoop for my RoadRunner, and it turned out better then planned. I'd be lost without that site. Now to tackle the frame rails, cage, and K member...

Thanks again.

Jeff

My computer blocked it and identified it as a Trojan. Anyone have the same issue?
