I'm flushing out the automatic trans in my 1996 ram 1/2ton. 2wd with OD. Can't find in the factory manual how mant quarts I need and I drained out the torque converter. 1have 12 quarts, not sure what it will require more/less. Anybody know the answer to that?

19-23 pints depending on whether the cooler was flushed too. 12 quarts should be plenty.

Thanks, 12 quarts is what I have and flushing out a transmission is something ya don't want to under or over fill. Will check dipstick levels as I go . Thanks again.
