Last month there was a post stating they had purchased a group 27 resto battery for $229 / shipping included. They purchased from a "Fred Gilmore" . I sent a pm last week and have not heard back..........? Does anyone know how to contact this Mr. Gilmore? I'm in need of new battery for my Challenger. Thank You!

I got mine from a moparts member who has a mopar shop in Oregon. Unfortunately I can't find the receipt from them, or remember who it was. They were cheaper being based on the west coast shipping wise. Hopefully they will chime in. Great people to deal with.

I think its this shop, try giving them a call. I apologize now if its not them. But I'm pretty sure it is. http://www.eastportlandautobody.com/index.cfm

Fred kindly contacted me about the non-reply issue I had. All is settled now and I can honestly give thumbs up for him

I try to answer all my e-mails in a timely fashion... Sorry, I took a week off and went out to Carlisle. I don't check the PM's often but check my e-mail several times a day. I would love to sell you guys a battery! Give me another chance... fgilmore@speednet.com

Fred is a good guy to deal with . If someone emailed him several times and didn't get a reply , you probably had the wrong email .
He also has the best price period .

Was in the market for a sealed group 24 yellow cap battery and happened to come across this thread. I e-mailed Fred Gilmore and had a response in a couple of hours, the transaction was completed and I had my battery within a day! Excellent service and highly recommended!

I did the hide a lightweight racing battery inside my old OEM looking battery trick once mine died. Saved like 26 lbs & cranks over faster now too.

Hey, nice work, I guess I need to do that to mine, so you were about to use the existing terminals from your original battery, and connected the Odyssey to them ?
thanks

I left the old posts in the OEM battery, drilled & tapped them & then bolted some short 12" battery cables to each of them to the new Oddyssy battery. Warning though gutting the old battery is a time consuming messy job & be careful not to break the outer plastic shell.
