My 12 volt batteries gave it up yesterday. I've made the decision to switch to 16 Volt.

Which brand battery charger would you recommend ?
Has anyone had experience with XS batteries ??

Yep, Powermaster lightweight 16v in my dragster with no alternator. Powermaster Intellicharger does the job well.

Are you running the the D1600 or the S1600?

I have been looking to go this direction myself.

The 16 volt Rock battery is head and shoulders above the rest.
My Big block Mopar engine turns like the X brand cranking.
I had the 16 volt Turbo start battery and charger and the Tubro start charger stills charges the 16 volt Rock battery. The Rock makes the Turbo seem like a 6 volt battery. The 16 volt Turbo start battery(I know it was a better battery)did not seem to turn my engine any faster than the 8 year old Die Hard Marine battery.
I do not sell Rock or any other batteries, just trying to help out my fellow Mopar racers

The rock is also only 42lbs vs 46lbs for the xs.

I run 2 8 vdc golf cart batts in series < need the weight aft> only charge in the shop no alt, the starter probably makes more torque than the engine
