As many of you know, the northern Ohio area lost two excellent young racers over the winter, Andrew Dombroski and Drake Simmons. Last night's final at Norwalk came down to Randy Biddle Jr in his gorgeous Malibu, and Derek Simmons in his brother's Dart. Randy has Adndrew's name in his passenger window, as these two young men were best of friends, and Derek has spent only a small amount fo time in his late little brother's car after not racing for many years. Derek went .001 red in the finals after scorching the tree all night long. I wish I could've been there, I can only imagine how it felt for everyone there to see those two guys up there in the finals. Congrats to Randy, and great job, Derek! You two did Andrew and Drake proud!!!!

Great pic

RB Jr went to the semis at 42 today also.

I dont have a name as of yet, but a bike racer went down at 42 today and it doesnt look to good. His wife and kids were there watching. Please keep them in your thoughts.

Puts a lump in my throat..

I never had the honor of meeting Drake, but he was a good friend to some of my friends. I do know Randy, and knew Andrew. Awesome story and pics!

Andrew must be passing some Mopar mojo to RB Jr!

I finally just registered and wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU so very much from the bottom of my heart to everyone! These past few months have been the toughest I've had to endure and there is no way I could be where I am at without my racing family. Drake and I grew up at the race track, it's all we knew. I just wanna make him proud with HIS dart out there going rounds. I've been able to take him 2 e.t. slips now....my 1st pass in the dart and my 1st round win. The next one will be a race win! Just know that he is up there doing wheelies in the sky!!!!! God Bless All of You!!!!!
