Just fired up 383 ,Roller edddy heads etc ,Its got i beleive 2295 old school pistons ,I know these pistons had a slot in them for sparkplug ,never even thought about this when clayed for clearance ,had a miss ,found a plug with the electrode bent over ,i hope i dropped it and missed it ,but i,m thinking its kissed the piston ,didn,t see any marks on it ,but got me concerned with these angle plug heads ,any ideas here ,smaller plug ,don,t want to pull motor apart to grind clearance for plugs ,might have too ,thanks

I can tell you you don't want to run a plug like the short reach ones an iron head uses.

I did the exact same combo for a friend, only with a old 590 cam and felpro blue cheap rebuild gaskets and had no problems. It is been beaten on for over a year now. If you don't think you dropped 1 plug,I would frop the pan and check the rod brng. on that cyl! Or, replace the plug, give it a rev and look at the plug again. You wont have to grind the pistons, at the most, just index them like a sbc

Mine is the same but with 440-1 heads, I smoothed out the flame trough where the plug points at. not a big deal, and my plugs have never hit.

Autolite AR3931 plugs, none projected tip.
I've got 440 with JE 12.5.1 domes, 76 cc edelbrock heads.
