Pretty limited audience for this question, but I'll ask anyway.
Has anyone done or seen a Cuda with a Shaker Hood and bubble on a 6.1 hemi using the stock 6.1 intake manifold?

Curious if there was a routing for ducting that looked good and functioned. I really don't know how much room is left above the engine on a 6.1 setup, but I'm guessing it wouldn't fit .

Thanks
Darren

I,m in the process of doing the same on my 71 cuda. The Danko enterprises shaker scoop and base is 2" shorter than the factory 70-71 scoop and base. You would need to get there baseplate and modify it to fit the bigger scoop. The mounting holes will be off so they will need to be relocated so the scoop would fit in the center of the hole. There will also be a hieght issue . The battery will need to be relocated because of the air box .

So let me get this 100% straight. You're using the 70-71 bubble. The Danko base, and making them work together?
That's what I was after.

They never showed the engine and wouldn't give any specs on it except for "Horsepower: A Lot" but I saw there audition video and it is fuel injected and makes 475 Horsepower.

yes I believe it can be done. But there is going to be some fibergass work on the danko base plate. From what I understand that the baseplate will need to be cut in half and a 2" section made of fiberglass put in. The mounting holes will be off so they will need to be relocated. Also the hieght will need to be adjusted.

cut in half, horizontally? As in: made 2" higher with the section? I can handle the F/G or C/F insert no troubles.....

I am getting ready to buy the danko base plate. After a discussion with them. I will see what the real difference is. The picture of the kiesler cuda that Empire did has a shaker but with a FAST fuel injection(center of the motor) throttle body. The factory port injection is the way to go.

While that's an awesome car, I'm pretty sure they used the XV intake, not the factory one. That opens up pretty much stock setups.

yep Keisler has a shaker on their 6.1 as well as my '71 Cuda with 6.1 Hemi.
But an AAr quality fiberglass bubble, AMD hood and a Year One repo fiberglass outer adapter ring. attach the outer adapter ring to the fuel rail mounting bolts with some minor fabbing and bolt on on the bubble to t he adapter just as you would on a stock shaker. Not all that difficult and it fits.
