I'm getting ready to purchase the next piece of my hemi project exhaust headers.I have even considered the repo manifolds. Question is can anyone tell me what the mods needed are to a factory z-bar in a stick e body. The tti site says zbar may need modified. Hemi is a 528" World block, stage v replacement heads in a manual trans Challenger this car will be a street driver. The cam has not yet been picked. The kmember is from mega parts and the car has power steering. will the tti's fit they say they do with ps and manual trans anyone here with real world experience with this combo? Would manifolds be o.k.for a street engine how much hp do I lose with them.

we just replaced the power steering on a challenger with a 528 hemi. the headers did not fit they were smashed on every tube on the drivers side. we got the right tti headers and had to use the starter tti recommended.we put the rack and pinion setupon it,also had to change one of the tubes so it would clear the starter.the z bar cleared just fine. The trans was from kieseler so I do not know if there is a differance between the stock one and the one we used.

Go with the exhaust manifolds especially if you have a megaparts k member. Check and make sure your engine is sitting level now before you start any exhaust work. TTi makes a great product as long as your engine is exactly where it is suppose to be.

I don't have a Mega block, but the #1 tube on the driver's side is less than 1/8" from the power steering box w/ the TTI's on my Challenger. After having to tighten the box every 5K, I ordered a J body power box from Firm Feel & had Dennis shave the housing down a little, too. The J box doesn't have the dome on the top that hits the header tube. Recently got a leak in the pump, so got a manual box & will probably put the 20:1 worm gear from Mancini in it. Factory starter clears & so does suspension.
I haven't checked Thorley's but think TTI's the only game in town for the best fit in Hemi E bodies.
