Got a good news items this weekend

First off, Scott dropped by the track and told me the Crank was not cracked. It's at the grinders now so hopefully it will clean up

Second, and more importantly, I'm finally getting Taylor's new motor figured out.

Not wanting to get tossed for running to fast we made a few 330' passes to get a handel on where we were.

Still runnng to quick I added another 50 #'s to the car and told her to run it out. She put up an 8.77 but said she lifted due to the high cross winds. OK, didn't lift much so it wouldn't have been much quicker.

Though the 32 gram flyweights in the clutch to keep the RPM down after the shift and she runs it out the back door wth a 9.04

Now were talkin

We got 1 time trial this morning before I had to pick a dial so I take 10 #'s out of it and see if we can get a 8.94 out it.

It runs a 8.892

Now we can Dial the index (8.90) and she can drive the stripe

Never got the chance as the day got rained out after a number of attempts to dry the track.

Either way, Taylor did an awesome job and the car finally reacted in a predictable manor.

Now if we can only get a race day with out rain

We went to pacemakers but got rained out before either me or Dylan got to make a pass. So I guess he will get to make his debut next weekend at Trails.

Cool news about your crank. Are you getting a new cam, it seems like a cam with more lift to take adavntage of the better flowing heads would be a good idea now...

AWESOME BILL.....hopefully ours goes that smooth...today I installed a purple spring in the driver....threw in some 11-18 Ramps.. got 42 grams on it....a yellow spring in the middle on the driven with a 42 helix....running a 12/69 sprocket...I pulled all the ballast out of the car....my boy is 162...hope we nail 8.90
