Anyone have experience hitting a powerlock (dana 60) with a trans brake? How well did it work? I'm piecing together a Dana and would like to just rebuild my powerlock and reuse it as the car will still see some street duty. But if I'm gonna have issues with the shock from the hit with a trans brake I might just go with a spool.

I know the powerlock is strong enough to take the power, but will the immediate shock cause the clutches to slip at the hit? Just thinking outloud here. Would prefer to not have to rebuild this thing twice.

If you stay with the power lock it would be a good idea to find a no longer available steel clutch pack instead of using the fiber clutch packs available these days.
