Hello, getting ready to order some more parts for the street motor. And was curious, is there any benefit to a HV pump in a mild street motor with stock oiling system including 3/8 inch pickup? This motor will never see above 6000rpm if that. Thanks

IMO, you would be fine with a stock pump. If you use a stock sump pan with a high volume pump, be sure and keep a check on your oil level.

I have a new melling oil pump in my 318 that is stock volume. It holds around 60psi till it gets good and warmed up and then doesnt drop much below that

Recently rebuilt or stock crank/bearings? A tired motor will benefit from a hv pump because the extra oil flow is a patch for worn bearings. Also, an engine with fully grooved bearings will also use the extra oil flow.
