Got a "messed" 73 imperial that needs a 440. Where can you buy remanufactured 440's ? Nothing avalible at Jasper. Have they run out of 440's ?

Price was right , but nothing avalible.
Napa( was $1400)
Carquest ( was $2099)
Pepboys ( $1900)
Local Sal-yard said none

Thats a lot of engine for 2k. At first I thought you were kinding about amazon. Replacement is there.

$1400 for a 400" GM sml blk. A buddy is looking to torque up his 82 4spd vette . It will work.

yeah I know. I was thinking about one, the company will even upgrade the cam and pistons if you like. For your application I think that would be the way to go. It even comes w/ a warrenty.

last reman I got from auto zone had 2 diff size pistons and a set of heads with diff valve size

I took it back and got another one after a about it

they wanted to know why I removed the heads and looked

I said cause I am smart

the next one was a roller engine and was a lot better...the orignal was not a roller engine so it was kinda an upgrade

IMHO,look it over very close

the old saying of "you get what you pay for" works both ways...some times "you dont get what you pay for"

good luck with finding a good one

I rebuilt my 440 as good as I thought it could be, at the same time my friend went the AutoZone route.
His is running better than mine....

Here. You decide...

SAME COMPANY.

Everybody uses the same company. I just forget their name right now. Precise... or something like that
