Swapping springs/retainers/locks and seals. The new seals I have consist of 8 umbrella type shallow seals and and 8 taller sleeve type seals.. I took an intake and exhaust spring off and the seals are the same taller sleeve type on both intake and exhaust. I'm assuming there's a reason for this and one goes on the exhaust and one on the intake. Which is which??? And how does the shallow umbrella seal stay in place when it doesn't slide over the boss... bone stock never changed 68 440 906 heads.. Thanks!!

They use to put the umbrella style on both but now with
both that you have put the umbrella on the exhaust
and the sleeve on the intake... it should slide over
the guide... the umbrella rides up and down on the valve
stem
