I am disassembling my Holley 750 DP for freshening. I'll be using the new "non stick" gaskets when I put it back together. Is there any way to get the old original gaskets off without damaging the carb? They are stuck on pretty good and I hesitate scraping too much for fear of messing up the castings.

Just got some. If it works on my 750 dual feed, I may try freshening my six pack.
(We never used it on the Phantoms when I was in the air force in the 60's hahaha)

Yep that stuff works, just be sure to let it soak for long enough before you start scraping at it.

Side note: if it is a gasket remover that contains dichloromethane (methylene chloride) be aware that it will go through nitrile gloves REAL fast….nasty stuff….just FYI.

Can't find the spray can permatex gasket remover anymore around this part of CA.

They have some really junky remover now that doesn't work well. I just bought some yesterday, and it won't be used again.

Just like carb cleaner that used to work great. Now you'd be better off spitting on the part and wiping it with a rag.
