How can you tell 2 speed from 3 speed by the wiring??? Thanks, Mopedad

The 2sp will have a connector on the firewall and the motor.The 3sp will only have a connector at the firewall

Also the 3 speed motor lays at a right angle to the base and the 2 speed sticks up straight out at ya....

all use same wires and colors ( blue, red, brown green ) but 3 speeds have wires soldered to motor
